As is usual this is an interesting sale with a number of new sires appearing on the scene and by attrition those that sadly faded away.

I refer to Blackfriars; he has left an indelible image on the Western Australian Bloodstock Industry that cannot easily be erased.

Blackfriars was the last son of the great Danehill at stud in Australia, I doubt if there is another in the world.

He is represented by 15 yearlings in the sale and as fitting as it will be, the last roll of the dice, there is no more, this is the final scene.

Nicconi is a dual Group 1 winner as a sire and getting Group 1 progeny evidenced by the amazing success of Nature Strip on VRC Oaks Day, and a likely candidate for Royal Ascot in July.  

I’m sure Chris Waller would have the same view, this is an excellent pedigree, he is Lot 13 in the sale

The two lots to follow are by Pierro, he is proving a highly successful sire, his win is a Slipper success, he has averaged $239,500 on the Coast for his yearlings.

This is the first crop of Winning Rupert’s, he was a very good two year old, he had a lot of pace and his progeny are impressive.

The colt by Deep Field, Lot 22, is from a good black type family that has stood the test of time; the colt is by a good black type family.

It will be of interest if the two fillies, catalogued as Lot 39 and Lot 81 by Shalaa, the European champion colt, his draft on the Gold Coast averaged $250,217.

Magnus has 3 lots to represent him, they all win races, he is among the most consistent sires in the land, he gets genuine racehorses.
