Jameka wins for sire
Jameka’s brilliant win in the Caulfield Cup surely focuses attention on her sire, Myboycharlie, standing at Vinery Stud in the rich Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
His racing career was limited to just two seasons, however, that is not unusual, the commercial value soars once an entire captures a Group1 race.
Myboycharlie achieved that distinction when he won the premier two year old race in Europe, the Prix Morny, over 1200 metres, during the summer season at Deauville, the seaside resort, at the height of the summer season.
He was acclaimed the champion two year old colt in Europe of 2007, in what was an impressive win.
Jameka is the current flag bearer for her sire Myboycharlie, she won the Caulfield Cup as if she had just joined into the field, and there is not a possible reason why she cannot win the Melbourne Cup and add that to her already repertoire.
The much travelled French mare, Euro Charline, by Myboycharlie, won a Group 1 race earlier in America , she then finished fourth in Dubai , second in the Lockington Stakes at Newbury, went on to finish second at Deauville.
She finally wound up the season with spectacular performance in the Group 3 Prix Penelope at Saint Cloud.
Myboycharlie sired 58 winners last season from 141 starters, to date he has sired 14 Stakes winners.
