Mossman Filly Tops Gold Coast Sale
Lot 363 caught the eye of trainer Mick Mair and that was it, he was in there for the long haul, finally he won the day parting with $180,000 for the stylish looking filly by Mossman.
Mick has had a heap of luck with the family and that is likely to continue, he had to contend with some strong opposition from around the ring, he was resilient, he was not going away, he finally got the last nod in.
She is a nice filly, and being by Mossman, who has already sired a Golden Slipper winner in Mossfun.
The filly is the last foal of The Spear, a Brisbane winning Lion Hunter mare, she had already produced a Group performer in Fast Arrow.
She was one of three individual lots to sell for $100,000 or more, the other star filly of the day was the Hussonet – Morinda Youngster from Jorson Farm, purchased by David Vandyke for $120,000.
A colt by Real Saga, from Lyndhurst Stud Farm, sold for $100,000, the sale grossed over $8.3 million with the average price, $28,420.
