Sistine Demon has taken no harm from his easy win at Flemington in the Western Health Handicap; he will go around again there on Saturday.

His win was convincing enough to influence his trainer, Andrew Noblet, to go back for another serve at headquarters again after the Excites gelding led all the way, and never looked like stopping at any stage of the race.

Excites, the sire of Sistine Demon, won the Group1 A J C Sires Produce Stakes, he was also runner up to Wonderful World in the Caulfield Guineas, he has a sound pedigree being by Danewin who was narrowly beaten in both the V RC and A J C Derbies.

His dam, Staging, was a very good mare, her 10 wins were the races that counted, she just missed out on a Group 1, but you could not hold that against her, she was brave and honest.

At stud she has been the proven producer, six foals to race and five winners, including Duproth, now at stud, Tickets and Succeeding, the dam of the champion juvenile in South Africa, Delargo Deluxe, now standing at Newhaven Park.
