Celebrations at Yarraman Park
There were good reasons for celebration at Yarraman Park with its current sire, I Am Invincible, establishing a new record siring 27 Stakes winners in a single season.
With still about 10 weeks of the season remaining he could stretch it out further, he is siring winners continuously and he is performing extremely well, he is a great sire, that is beyond question.
Previously he was sharing the lead with Snitzel and Danehill, he has mixed with very elite company.
The race was sponsored by Yarraman, and Woodlands, for fillies over 1100 metres, the winner, Libertini, is by I Am Invincible, she was a last start winner out of Aloha by Encosta De lago, whilst the second placegetter, Regimental Band, is also by I Am Invincible.
He has already proven a highly successful sire, and now a sire of sires, evidenced by his son Brazen Beau, who has got away to a brilliant beginning.
Australian bred sires can stand tall, provided they are not excessively raced, evidenced by Redoutes Choice, Flying Spur,Snitzel, I Am Invincible and Zoustar, all million dollar earners.
The sprinting sire stands alone, no one is very much interested in staying horses any longer, the sale ring is evidenced of that, it is all about a quick return on investment.
