Rich Enuff gone missing
Rich Enuff, the equine find of last season, went missing at Flemington yesterday where he was well supported to win the Bobbie Lewis Quality.
At no stage of the race did he show that previous explosive speed that literally blew fields away, when he raced last season.
This was his second run in from a lengthy spell, he could be excused for the defeat at the hands of Bonded at Caulfield two weeks ago, there are no excuses this time, he ran well below his best.
He was far from relaxed in the mounting yard, it took too two handlers to lead him and when trainer, Ken Keys, came in to assist, he was thrown into the rose bushes.
Rich Enuff suffered an injury, after being beaten, when leading for most of the way in the Caulfield Guineas, won by Shooting To Win, he suffered an injury in the race and has been off the scene for nearly 12 months, a full season, he could have lost his confidence.
His trainer, Ken Keys, preferred not to comment after the race, he was naturally suffering from a bit of shell shock, and freeing himself from rose thorns.
Woodside Park has bought into the horse as a sire, they could be concerned with their investment.
