Only the best for Silent Achiever
Multiple Group 1 winner, Silent Achiever, has left for Europe where she will be courted by the stars of the international stallion world.
Owned by Valachi Downs principal Kevin Hickman, the O’Rielly mare embarked on the second stage of her career on Tuesday evening when she was flown to England for her upcoming date with the unbeaten galloper Frankel.
“We want to breed to Southern Hemisphere time so she has been under lights to extend the daylights hours for her,”Valachi manager Jonathan Scully said.
"She’s got a good coat on her and we’re looking at an early September cover, the idea at the moment is if the resulting foal is an early one, the mare would be covered again in the UK."
“Galileo, Dansili and Sea The Stars are stallions that have all been talked about for her.”
Silent Achiever was prepared throughout her career by Roger James for her Group 1 victories in the New Zealand Derby and the New Zealand Stakes at home, and the Ranvet Stakes and The B MW in Sydney.
The winner of 10 of her 36 starts and more than $3.6 million Silent Achiever was unplaced in the Group1 Doomben Cup in May, at her final race appearance.
“She didn’t put on too much weight in the meantime, about 30 kgs, and given they can lose 20 kgs on the flight over there she will arrive in good condition, “Scully said.—NZ Racing Desk
