Superstar Ready to Reappear
Champion French mare, Treve, the best of her sex in the world, is preparing for her third assault on the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp in mid October.
She worked at Chantilly earlier this week pleasing her trainer, Criquette Head-Maarek, owner, Sheikh Joaan Al Thani’s, racing advisor Harry Herbert, as she stepped up a gear in readiness for her reappearance in the Group 2 Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud on May 29.
Treve is already a dual winner of the Arc, with everything going along nicely her team are optimistic she can win it again this year and create history.
Her ultimate value as a brood mare will be astronomical, not that she is ever likely to come onto the market.
Treve was foaled in 2010, by Motivator, a son of Montjeu, from Trevise by Anabaa, her six wins have been from 1600 to 2400 metres.
Saint- Cloud is quite a popular racing venue for Parisians, with over sixty meetings per season, which begins in February.
