Mare Races In Foal
Kukla, who was engaged in last Saturday’s Blackwoods Apex Tools Handicap, was in foal when she raced.
She was last covered on 19th October 2013; she would have barely had a 45 day scan when she raced.
Under the provisions of AR64 E (1), the mare will be permitted to race until Wednesday 12th of February 2014.
The late Colin Hayes didn’t mind racing a mare in foal, up to a certain stage, one example was the Oakleigh Plate winner, Scarlet Bisque, he may have even tried Special, the results were never published.
