Moonee Valley Racing Club will give race fans the best opportunity to farewell champion mare Black Caviar, should she make her final Victorian appearance in the Group1 William Reid Stakes on Friday March 22.

Alterations to nominations, acceptances and race times will be altered from normal for what would be a historic occasion.

The club would be rescheduling the normal program times to ensure as many race fans as possible are trackside for the mare’s possible swansong in Melbourne.

Nominations for the $ 400,000 feature sprint will close at midday on Monday February 18, with final acceptances to be declared on Monday March 18.
