After an impressive win in the Group1 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley, Hellbent is off to stud where he will stand alongside his sire I Am Invincible, at Yarraman Park, Scone.

The timing is perfect, he goes out on a winning note which is so important, and particularly a Group 1, it has been made to order.

He will be six when he covers his first book of mares, that Group1 win is so necessary, it is like a guaranteed walk up start.

The Mitchell brothers, Arthur and Harry, will see he receives every opportunity that he deserves.

There was no point in going any further with him, he is rising six, he has achieved the ultimate, the Group 1, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Hellbent won seven races from 1000 to 1200 metres,.he was placed in an Oakleigh Plate, and was placed previously in a William Reid Stakes.

Hellbent is from Volkaspray by Volksraad, she won twice, of her 4 foals to race 3 were winners, the second dam ,Spraypaint by Crested Wave, produced 11 named foals, all were winners.  

The Mitchell family have supported the local industry with the colonial sires, and it is proving a very successful venture through I Am Invincible, he is holding down second position on the general list of sires, with progeny earnings of $12,910,170 to his credit.
