Sun Stud Announce Service Fees for 2017

Sun Stud has announced the 2017service fees for its Victorian and Queensland rosters, including the introductory fee for multiple Group One winners, Palentino

Featuring 12 stallions – seven in Victoria and five in Queensland,-Palentino joins the line at a fee of $17,600, while in exciting news, proved speed source Statue of Liberty, will relocate to Queensland, standing at $7,700.

“Sun Stud is gearing up for a busy season,” Sun Stud’s Sales & Nominations Manager, Phil Marshall, points out.

“Naturally there’s plenty of interest already in Palentino, which is hardly surprising,-he won two Group Ones and a Group Two over the mile at Flemington defeating some of Australia’s best performers, including horses like Black Heart Bart.

The relocation of Statue of Liberty is also an interesting development and sure to be welcomed by Queensland breeders.

His brilliant sprinting son, Hay List, was a Group winner in Brisbane and finished second to Black Caviar in the BTC Cup.

Statue of Liberty will stand at $7,700 along side of Black Caviar’s sire, Bel Esprit, who is leading sire in Queensland by earnings and winners, and is exceptional value at $12,100 in 2017.

Magnus on the back of another successful year which includes gallopers, like dual Group One winner Malaguerra, heads the Victorian roster at a fee $22,000, while his stable mates Fiorente $17,600, whose first crop of yearlings sold up to $200,000 in 2017, the unbeaten two year old Fighting Sun stands at $13,750, his initial yearlings sold to $165,000, $150,000, $140,000, etc, and Black Caviar’s brother leading Victorian second season sire, Moshe $7,700, stakes winning two year old Ready For Victory $6,600, who is about to embark on his second season at stud, and Squamosa $6,600, whose first crop runners boast performers on both sides of the Tasman.

And Queenslanders don’t just have the State of Origin to crow about with Bel Esprit and Statue of Liberty, more than ably supported by Leading Second Season Sire , Love Conquers All $12,100, Leading Queensland First Season Sire, Instinction $3,850, and Group Two Queensland Guineas winner Jabali $4,950, who is preparing to cover his second book of mares in 2017.

“We’re very happy with our lineup for 2017,” Sun Stud’s Managing Director Danielle enthused.

“I believe our stallions are very competitively priced in what is an extremely buoyant market, and the roster really does offer something for all breeders”.
