Spill The Beans at Aquis Farm

Spill The Beans is an exciting young sire with a definite future, standing at Aquis Farm in Queensland.

He is coming into his second season; his first crop of foals is being eagerly awaited, as he has been well supported with an interesting book of mares in his first season.

He has certainly not been over raced, which is a huge advantage, unbeaten as a two year old, in all he raced 11 times, for five wins, and has not been worn out with racing, and was only out of the money three times.

Spill The Beans presents excellent opportunities for Queensland, either for breeding, or those that prefer to race, he really meets both options.

Youth is the dominant factor now in the breeding industry; the big major studs are hardly interested in stallions once they turn four year old

That is the ideal formula, over raced stallions don’t make successful sires, that is an era that has long passed, youth is a very dominant important factor, youth will certainly prevail.

The thoroughbred breeding industry has never been in better shape, record yearling prices in every state this year.

Over raced stallions are not working, certainly in this era, that has never been better illustrated when the leading sires, Snitzel had 15 starts, Street Cry 12, Fastnet Rock 19, Not A Single Doubt 10,and I Am Invincible 13, Sebring 6 and High Chaparral 13 starts, and all have exceeded $10 million in progeny earnings for the previous 2016 – 2017 season.

Spill The Beans is by Snitzel, he has had a remarkable season siring winners of $16,220,135, a record and away to a flying start siring three winners at Rosehill Gardens last Saturday; his service fee has been increased from last season’s fee of $100,000 to $160,000, plus GST, this season.

Spill The Beans, an unbeaten two year old and a Group 2 winning three year old, has the pedigree to succeed, by a proven racehorse and a great sire and dam line, he ticks all the boxes, above all he is a highly quality thoroughbred.
